Gourmet magazine calls Edna's Caramels one of the "best food gifts on the market" -November 2007

Metro magazine's Mecca Bos-Williams,says:

"The candies are decadently chewy, rich and fresh, and I'd steal from my own friends, and yes, keep a 77 year old woman (Edna) on her feet all day, to get them all". -July, 2007

Read about Edna's Caramels in the June 2007 Taste section of the Star Tribune. Rick Nelson's article "Not Run of The Mill" lets you in on one of Edna's secrets:

The secret is butter
It's tough to pass by Edna's Caramels and not get Winkie Dinked. That's what owners Edna and Carolynn Kimmes call their dainty little samples of their chewy, absurdly buttery caramels ($3 to $25). Talk about advertising. One bite and you'll be reaching for your wallet. Just don't ask for the recipe. "That's proprietary," said Edna with a laugh.

Lots of great things have been happening at Edna’s! This spring we moved into our own commercial kitchen and finally everything in one place. We can also cook whenever we want to or need to! We have been so lucky to have been in two wonderful kitchens prior to our own, and will forever be grateful to Muddy Paws Cheesecakes and Mothersauces for helping us to start our business by generously allowing us to rent their kitchen space.

Edna works on R&D while Carolynn tries to think up new marketing ideas! In May we got a great write-up in City Pages, which helped us tell our story to a much bigger audience.

This year at the Mill City Farmer’s Market we are testing some new candies from Edna’s recipe file: an English toffee and some wonderful fudge. Stop by and see us when you are in the area – we’d love to meet you!

We also have some new packaging available on our web site. Our half pound bags and 4-packs, which were previously available only at the farmer’s market and through wholesale outlets, are now available here. The half pound bags are great for times when you don’t need a gift box - our customers say they are great for sharing during a meeting break or stashing in your carry-on to make your flight more pleasant! They fit great into any cupboard, too!

We also have a new box, the “cute tiny box” or CTB, which once you see you will agree was just too cute to pass up! It makes a great party favor, and we can customize the ribbon to match any occasion you have planned. It’s also great for those times when you just need a “little something” for a friend or colleague. The CTB is available individually or in groups of six.
